Hot Tub Repairs

Keep your spa feeling fresh and looking new all year round!

Something Gone Wrong With Your Hot Tub?

Hot tub faults can be frustrating — particularly when a spa that should be a source of relaxation suddenly stops working, starts leaking, or throws up an error code that means nothing to anyone outside the industry. The good news is that the vast majority of hot tub faults have a relatively straightforward cause and, in many cases, can be diagnosed and fixed in a single visit.

Hot Tub Tech provides hot tub fault-finding and repair services for all makes and models across Farnham, Guildford, and the wider Surrey area. Eddie carries a comprehensive range of common spare parts on the van, meaning many repairs can be completed on the day without the need for a return visit.

Common Hot Tub Faults We Repair

Hot Tub Not Heating

One of the most common callout reasons. Possible causes include a faulty heating element, a failed flow switch, a tripped high-limit sensor, an airlock in the plumbing, or a fault with the control board. We will diagnose the root cause and provide a clear quote before any parts are replaced.

Hot Tub Leaking

Leaks can originate from pump seals, pipe union fittings, jet body fittings, the heater manifold, or the shell itself. We carry out a thorough leak investigation to pinpoint the exact source and repair it correctly — not just apply a temporary seal.

Pump Failure

Circulation pump or jet pump failure can cause a loss of heating, poor water quality or no jet action. We supply and fit replacement pumps across all major brands and control systems.

Error Codes

Modern hot tubs display error or fault codes on their control panels when something is wrong. We are experienced with all major control system brands including Balboa, Gecko, Spanet, Davey and others, and can interpret, diagnose and resolve fault codes correctly.

Jets Not Working

Jets that stop working or deliver reduced pressure are usually the result of an airlock, a pump issue, a blocked filter, or a closed diverter valve. We can diagnose and resolve the problem quickly.

Water Quality Problems

Persistently cloudy, foamy, green or malodorous water is usually a sign of an underlying water chemistry issue or — more seriously — bacterial contamination within the plumbing. We carry out full water analysis and treatment, including a professional bioflush if required.

Electrical Faults — RCD / GFCI Tripping

An RCD that trips repeatedly is a serious issue and should not be ignored. Possible causes include a failed heating element, a water-damaged component, or a wiring fault. We carry out safe electrical fault diagnosis and resolve the issue correctly, working within the relevant safety standards.

LED and Lighting Faults

LED failures, flickering lights and control panel display issues are all common and straightforward to resolve in most cases.

Cover Damage

A damaged or waterlogged cover is a significant drain on energy efficiency and can accelerate heat loss considerably. We can advise on and supply full cover replacement manufactured to the highest quality in Canada, imported and delivered to your door where required.
